Have you been wanting a change in your life, but don’t know exactly where or how to start. And you’ve probably been hearing people talk about meditation for a while, but don't really know what it is or how to do it. Yea, meditation can sound a little intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. I know a lot of people have the misconception that in order to meditate you have to be still like a statue. While meditation is stillness, of the mind, body, and soul. It does not only have to happen while sitting and closing your eyes. Your whole life can be a meditation if you open the doors of awareness. Some of my most favorite meditations include, laughter, gibberish, and dance. One thing you must understand is that the body is a tool we can use to get to our inner self. Now why 30 days, seems like a lot? Well unfortunately our minds are like sponges that absorb everything, and a lot of times from our society and conditioning we bring into our awareness thoughts that don’t necessarily serve us for our greater good. What meditation does is that it stills the mind, and yes thoughts will come but we will learn to see them, observe them, and then let them go. Sounds easy? well in the beginning I have to say it is challenging but once you get the hang of it, it can become very enjoyable and you will look forward to your daily meditation.

What is Meditation good for?

Well Meditation is good for a number of things, here is a list of the benefits below

• Meditation reduces stress.

• It improves concentration.

• It encourages a healthy lifestyle.

• The practice increases self-awareness.

• It increases happiness.

• Meditation increases acceptance.

• It slows aging.

• The practice benefits cardiovascular and immune health.

Law of attracting works in a way that whatever you set your mind to will eventually manifest itself, unfortunately that includes good and bad thoughts. They say that anything you put enough thought to will eventually manifest itself into physical form. Now why do some things manifest quicker than others? Well it is our resistance to them that stops them from coming. Our resistance can include negative beliefs and patterns that have been instilled in us from a young age. Believe it or not some our blueprint patterns are instilled into our subconscious from the ages of 0-7 years old and some schools of thought can say that it goes even back to when we are in our mothers womb, since we can pick up her emotions in bio-cellular form (SOUNDS CRAZY?! well its not!)

So how do we get rid of all of our self limiting patterns well let me give you an example. There is something you really want whether it be a relationship with someone or it can even be a special job that seems out of reach. What is important is going in thru meditation and listening to the self limiting thoughts and pinpointing when exactly this thought came to be. Everything we say to ourselves can create or destroy us, and unfortunately we are usually harder on ourselves. That’s where POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS come to play and we must remind ourselves of how great we are everyday (no joke!)

An intention? What is that? Well an intention is just that… an aim or plan. What do you want to get out of this meditation.. Use your imagination, go wild!! Whether you want to manifest more money, a better job, a loving relationship, health, happiness, or even getting rid of certain negative emotion or thoughts. WRITE IT DOWN!!!!

You can’t even imagine the power writing something down has, your visualization is already taking form in writing! SO DO IT!

I’m not going to lie some days meditation will be a drag. How do I know? Because I’ve been there.. and trust me I know! But its ok write it down. Email me if you have any questions. Let me know what your working on! The reason for this challenge is to not do it alone, that is why I’ve recruited everyone, so we can feel better, release stress, ease and ease our mind together!!!

15 minutes every morning is more than enough for a starter. If you are more experienced with meditation, please by all means DO MORE!! There is no such thing as over meditating. And for those of you that 15 minutes is too much try with 5 minutes. Our minds are so cluttered sometimes that sitting will be hard. If sitting is difficult get up and dance to instrumental music, or laugh for 5 minutes (sounds silly but believe me its powerful!)

Different types of Meditation

There is a mediation for everyone, and one that works for one person won’t necessarily work for the other. There are people that prefer to be in lotus position (sitting crossed legged like a Buddha) and can stay in silence for hours. Others find it difficult and have found meditation in dancing, singing, exercising, and laughing. I will be sending everyone different types of meditations.

There is no set time for meditation, you can do it at any time. I prefer meditating in the morning right after I have brushed my teeth and washed my face so I feel refreshed and don’t fall back to sleep. A lot of people prefer meditating right before bed… This can be harder sometimes, if you’re like me who tend to fall asleep if you meditate at night.

Whatever questions you may have please email me evisiskos@gmail.com. I am here to support you on this journey!!! I will be doing the meditations myself every morning with you and will be posting about them daily.

I will be sending everyone links in the following email with different meditations, mantras, high vibrational music, and some of my favorite motivational speakers!

I am on this journey with you, when we help others we are helping ourselves. Remember to smile and shine your light wherever you go!
